About the Chef: Jenifer Foy

Jenifer Foy has been cooking for over twenty years. She holds an Advanced Diploma from La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine inParis, France.  After working in some of the Philadelphia area’s best kitchens, like Apropos, Odeon, Carolina’s and Central Bar and Grille, Jen opened State Street Café in Doylestown, PA.  Seven years and two children later, Jen sold the café and became a culinary instructor at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, in Philadelphia.  After a few stops in other restaurants, Jen began as Executive Chef at the Zodiac Restaurant at Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia, PA.  In her five years there, she elevated the cuisine to a level found in many of the finest restaurants in the area. 

Jen hopes that in the next few years, she will be ready to open up another place of her own.

About the Chef: David Dante

David Dante grew up in the restaurant and catering business in northernNew Jerseyand trained as a chef in NYC and theFlorida Keys. He has worked up and down the East Coast and theCaribbeanfor the last 25 years and has earned his certification as a Chef de Cuisine from the American Culinary Federation.  Chef Dante is no stranger to doing cooking demonstrations after having previously worked for the Better Homes & Gardens test kitchen.  He teaches cooking at theJohnC.CampbellFolkSchoolinBrasstown,North Carolinaand has also taught at Williams-Sonoma in Glen Mills, PA.  He is currently working as a Corporate Chef at theWawaCorporateUniversity, where his creative menu items are served to executives and staff alike.

Louisiana Creole – This week we will be making classic Louisiana Creole dishes: Green Goddess Salad, Muffaletta, Country Jambalaya with Rice, and Bananas Foster.

This Second Saturday Series will take you on a world tasting tour of six different culinary regions: Louisiana, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Spain, Greece, and the American South. During each class, guests will create a fabulous luncheon with classic dishes from one of these regions with Chef Keysha Hunt’s guidance. Once the cooking is complete, guests will sit down together and enjoy the lunch they’ve created.
